Playa de Palma is Magaluf for the Germans. I would not recommend it for children!

We went out of season, and is was v.pleasant. But I get your point.

Cala D'Or is worth looking at, not the shortest transfer on the island but with a private one it's only 45mins and €110 return.
Some lovely safe beaches and loads of places to eat and drink.

Cala D'Or Playa Apartments are also well worth looking at, small and very family friendly and no 'Brits Abroad' atmosphere.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Bogalot Im looking for somewhere with a nice beach and a good choice of bars and retaurants.

Like I said we love benalmadena with the Marina, love it down there so somewhere similar would be fab. What other resorts on the mainland would you recommend?

A private transfer is something I think I will defo look into. Do you just go through to google to book that independently?

  • We stayed in cala d'Or in July. Its a nice little resort with everything on your doorstep. Loads of shops and places to eat. We went in the school holidays so the place was heaving The beaches are coves so not very big, but nice all the same.

We stayed in Puerto Pollensa a couple of times and found it excellent for families
