BT line activation fee

I'm currently with BT for broadband (Infinity 1, limited), phone and TV and want a better deal. BT haven't come up with a good enough offer and I'm looking at switching to Virgin, Talk Talk or Now TV. I favour the Virgin deal but a friend told me that if I switch to Virgin my BT landline will be dead (cos everything will go thru the Virgin cable) and when I next want to switch to anyone other than Virgin I'll have to pay a line re-activation fee. If that's the case I want to factor that in to my price comparison. Can anyone with recent experience of switching from Virgin to another supplier requiring a BT line post on any line activation fees?(and if this was mentioned anywhere in the MSE Broadband offers section please feel free to point me in the right direction cos I've misssed it!).

when you stop using the BT supplied line it will stop (you know that) when you return back to BT you "may" have to pay a fee (typically about £50) for the line to be reconnectedSave a Rachael
