No jurisdiction and no influence? But we are Great Britain, so what kind of talk is that?! The first big Map of the World I ever slapped eyes on had loads of reddish pink countries on it. We owned most of "abroad"!
And we have that special relationship with the Yanks - don't they own the internet?0 -
Our story's been picked up by the BBC too. Glad to see the warning's getting out there.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

URGENT - MSE - You have committed a grave error in your report.
The fake website asked for debit card details, but you report this erroneously as asking for bank details.
'Bank details' generally means account number and sort-code, and this is what people will assume when reading your story.
But this was NOT what the website asked for - it asked instead for debit card details.
Please urgently correct the story, to make it clear that it was the debit card details that the fake website was after.
Otherwise, you are perpetuating a common myth about the danger of revealing account numbers (best to avoid, but not so dangerous), and hiding the real danger of revealing debit card details (very dangerous) !0
