Ive no idea of your wages, but could be that the credit card company aren't willing to give you more credit on top of your existing amount, and the electoral roll will certainly be a factor0 -
I would have thought it'd be the person, not the address, that it is based on. I don't see how moving house suddenly makes you a credit risk.
Check all three files? What files?
I guess it's going to look worrying that you haven't updated your details in years, if you've done it this time then chances are you'd do it again. Lenders want two things - their money back, and profit on top. If they think there is a chance they won't be able to contact to ask you to pay them back that's going to put them off lending.
Where are you on the electoral roll - current address?
Lenders don't like inconsistencies, so if dates don't line up they will make the easiest decision, which is also the safest decision - and that's a straight decline.
On the flip side it should be really simple to correct, just get your address records updated and ensure all the dates are the same with each credit reference agency, and that you are on the electoral roll and every bill goes to your current address. It should all soon clean itself up if there is nothing fundamentally bad with your history.0 -

Unnecessary.
Asked a perfectly valid question having never experienced this before. If these forums aren't for such questions without getting idiotic sarcasm in return, what are they for?0 -

I think all your questions have been answered have they not? You insisted however you don't need to check anything else as you already know, your post before it was edited

Ok, so I have run an equifax report and is as expected; excellent score, no payment issues, no incorrect info but it does say not on electoral roll at current address. Can only assume this is the issue and that it is taking a while to get me registered.0
