Morgan Green Ltd.

Last saturday, recieved a call from Morgan Green claiming they could claim back thousands of pounds for me for the PPI I had been paying on my mortgage. It sounded good, and foolishly I gave them my bank details. Within twenty minutes of the call £522 processing fee had gone from my bank account. They sent me an e-mail with details about the company and their terms and conditions. By monday I had decided to cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. I cancelled by e-mail, fax and recorded delivery mail. They phoned me twice wanting to know why I wanted to cancel, but as soon as I mentioned getting my money back they did not want to know. I have made several phone calls to them but with no luck. I have to phone the company again. If the company refuses to return the processing fee, can any one tell me what options I have?
I started looking for info on Morgan Green after the money had gone, and I have not found a good word written about them yet!

  • Hi, my in-laws had the same problem and I have dealt with it for them and hopefully it will be resolved this week as I have been told the money has been refunded back onto their credit card by the regulations company who are part of The Ministry of Justice..
    First you must also go via their complaints section on their web site, then contact the regulations company via the Morgan Green Site.
    Ask for Dawn Henry, she helped me and make sure you send Morgan Green a letter to say that if the refund isn't dealt with within fourteen days of the date you send then you will take legal action.
    They don't like it when you get the Claims company involved, i had so many calls with them when you can get through and they just give you some story about back log etc.
    They wrote to us to say how sorry they were and "regret you have found the need to take your matter ti the CMRM&C"
    So let me know how you get on and if you need any assistance let me know.

    Seems you might have been scammed by a cold caller. Call your bank now. Tell us who you bank with and can get you a freephone number, maybe even get through tom someone straight away.

    I'm nt about you getting your money back, there migh be someone else that can help you.

    Also, put another post here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=20 Bugeting and Current accounts. There's a lo of people that know what they are talking about.

    If future, never give out account/passwords on the telephone.

    Hello John,
    I am exactly in the same position as " Breckfield" , constantly being "fobbed off " stating that refunds are only done at the end of the month etc, I have been chasing for nearly 6 weeks now.
    I have taken your advice and made an official complaint via the Morgan Green website and also contacted CMRM&C .
    Do you have any other advice please , this would be most grateful , as I have now realised these people are a bunch of crooks !

    No-one has mentioned this but I see Morgan Green are no longer authorised under CMR and went into liquidation. Thats another dodgy claims company that has gone after taking a load of clients money with them.
