Alternatives to air-con for a flat

To be honest a properly fitted AC unit with external inverter is nowhere near as expensive as I thought. 1 unit will probably do the whole flat. It will cool to your desired temperature. They are not that expensive to run and you would only be using it for certain times of the year.
The internal unit would be fixed to a wall and unlike a portable unit you don't have to think of somewhere to store it
I would at least look into it esp if there is a natural place you could fit the inverter and get permissions etc.0 -

No, because all the heat that is pulled out of the room through the front of the fridge will be expelled again by the radiator on the back of the fridge. Plus, the compressor pump will be running constantly, so that will get hot as well, making the room even warmer.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
