Asking for proof of cancellation

Afternoon
I wonder if anyone has some good advice please!
I booked flights and Hotel through Low Cost Travel and at an earlier date I found the hotel booking was cancelled and successfully managed to claim back the cost from credit card company. I was under the impression that as I had been able to enter flight information on the BA site a month after booking that the tickets were paid for at point of booking (my fault that I didn't check right into it I know) but i found out 2 days ago that the flights were actually cancelled on the 13th August because BA had not intact received payment from LCH.
I have been onto various departments at BA to request a confirmation of cancellation of booking due to non payment by a 3rd party and am repeatedly being told they are unable to do this!
My question is how do I prove to credit card company that the flights I didn't claim for previously are indeed cancelled and I would now like to make a claim?
Any help gratefully received, thank you

If you check the booking on checkmytrip.com does it say 'not ticketed'?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Thanks for that, never thought to look there. No sadly it just says "4649 - This trip cannot be found. It may have been cancelled. (4649)", not sure that is going to be enough, but on the other hand it may be!! I will be living in hope!0

Did you add any airline frequent flyer membership number to the itinerary ?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

No I didn't, not really experienced with the points thing and so not that savvy on all these little things, steep learning curve!! I assumed that as I had been able to enter the passport information that all was okay with the booking Bit naive I suppose but I trusted what I was told0

How did you find this out? If it was an entry on a web page then take a screen shot; if it was a telephone call then repeat the call and record it...0
