Regular Delays Under 3 hrs - Business Costs

Options
Hi there, not sure if anyone can help but we have been experiencing regular delays now with Easyjet who we travel with every Monday & Friday between Belfast & Birmingham, so far this year there has been about 10 delays in total whereby Easyjet are smart enough to keep the delay time under the 3 hour mark to save paying out any compensation - I've already contacted them......however are having to pay 2 x Engineers for time spent in the airport due to delays and we have no way of covering these costs, we are a very small business and just wanted to see if anyone out there has any advice, we are still experiencing delays and still out the labour costs? Thanks for your help PS First time using this or any Forum

  • Hi Sharon. There is no claim under the regulations and I'm not aware of any basis that you could claim under normal contract law. Also additional labour costs like this would be held to be too remote to be allowed as damages.
You could try writing to Easyjet to complain especially as this has happened several times in the hope that they might offer you a couple of free flights. Otherwise the only other suggestion is to switch to another airline but I guess you've already tried that.
