I had problems setting up an account with Atom. Despite numerous attempts I couldn't get the voice recognition part of the biometric ID used by the Atom app to register my voice. It needs to record 3 attempts, the first two were fine but for some reason it wouldn't accept the third. I was in a quiet room, with no background noise, and spoke very clearly.

I'd be interested to know whether anyone else had problems with this and, if so, whether you were able to resolve them.

I didn't bother with the voice recognition.

The face recognition is my preferred option, with passcode as backup for when that struggles (so far, only when in dimly lit bedroom:o)

Just to answer a few people mentioning bank checks occuring.

There's 2 possible times you go through these external bank account checks.

One is during their ID process, when you are registering for your first account (it won't happen again if you pass the first time). The bank check only occurs depending on your score with callcredit. I believe you have to answer some questions at first, if you dont give a good enough match then you have to supply another current account external to atom. They will use this to verify your identity with another bank.

The 2nd time you go through a bank check is when you nominate an external account to pay your interest. If you have your interest paid into your account then you won't ever hit this. If you select to pay out then they will ask you for an additional biometric to "step up" your security to a higher level than just that used to login. The bank check is then done when you submit your external bank account details.

I believe the only time you could hit a refer is if you were one of those people with a bank account prior to around 1993 where you will be deemed as "non consented". Atom would need to do additional checks behind the scenes if you use one of those accounts as the bureaus wouldnt have any data on your account to allow them to verify.
