it might be the night kicking in but i think the poster above was genuinely giving an advice to approach the retailer as well, so that retailer cancels the ticket from their side. since i did bring business to them
as long as i have the receipt.
you are right, apologies to JustAnotherUser. Was just going to bed0 -
makes my night better. Thank you. I will ask again tomorrow regarding what should be the next step i take. As I think in majority of scenarios the advice is to wait for NTK and then reply with the template on the 25th 26th date. and wait
your first job is to go back to the site and complain to the MANAGERS of all shops visited , photocopy the ticket , write your email/phone number on and give it to the managers , stating that you EXPECT a call/email later to confirm its cancelledSave a Rachael

""their employee was confident to believe that "owner has left the site"
Where on their signs does it say its against the rules that the "owner" left site? What about the Driver? Not necessarily the same thing.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

I think you are misunderstanding this bit.
You reply on the 25th-26th with the template, hoping that puts them off sending the NTK in time.
"...their employee was confident to believe that "owner has left the site"
Aren't they a bunch of Muppets, did their employee know the owner personally? Otherwise how on earth could he know that, the "owner" may have been in The South of France for all they know, wouldn't that be a satisfying reply!0 -
A more detailed update, as yesterday i have submitted this quite late and was not in the best state of mind.
the phrasing is as follows:
Parking attendant XXX had reasonable cause to believe that the following breach of the terms and conditions of parking occured on private land (details of which were clearly and prominently displayed and agreed to by the driver by the act of parking the vechicle):
- Vehicle owner/driver left site
the sign displays the following:
Maximum stay 3 hours, no return within 2 hours - parking available for Crown Point Customers only whilst shopping on site. Welcome to crown point shopping park.
the rest is in tiny letters.0 -

They either have proof 100% or not, saying "reasonable cause" is no defence. In turn you have reasonable cause to suggest they are lying.
Always remember you are the REGISTERED KEEPER in any communication with them0 -

They are using phrases like "reasonable cause" to try and dress up their invoice as some kind of legal document. It's !!!!!!!!.
I've got reasonable cause for thinking Allison Brie from 'Community' might enjoy a night in bed with me... doesn't mean to say it ever has or ever will happen (much to my everlasting chagrin!)
As has been said, they've either got *EVIDENCE* of you (or whoever the driver was) leaving the site, in which case they can bloody well produce it, or they can FRO.
I'm not sure what 'evidence' they can have anyway. Have they got employees at every single exit of the shopping centre asking people where they've parked and what their reg number is every time the walk out of the doors? Of course not. Even if you did nip out to meet someone, as long as you went back into the centre afterwards, then you're still a customer. You could even argue you've increased their custom as you brought someone back in with you to shop there as well! Unless you were parked there and not on-site for hours at a time, then they're acting very unreasonably at best.0 -
