I had plan to visit Swiss and Barcelona from UK however because of ATC French Strike my first outbound flight of Ryan air was cancelled from UK to Basel and I had to restrict to visit to Barcelona. I took the flight from UK to Barcelona after 3 days as they didn't had any flights to Basel for next 1 week, I had to cancel flight from Basel to Barcelona from Vueling airlines. Under which category my travel claim would fall ? Can I claim under Curtailment ?

to confirm
you had 2 flights booked
flight 1, Ryanair UK-Basel
flight 2, Vueling Basel - Barcelona
flight 1 cancelled due ATC strike (so no compensation)
instead took flight from UK to Barcelona (3 days later)....was this a change to flight 1 at no charge to you or did you purchase a new ticket
for flight 2 that was not used...if this flight was not cancelled then the fare rules of the ticket apply
Have you spoken to your travel insurance to see if they will cover your situation0 -

for flight 2 , it was cancelled 3 days in advance.
My question is would my claim fall under delay ? cancellation ? and/or can I claim for curtailment ? ideally which would benefit me more.0
