I'm currently working with HMRC to develop a new online service. As part of this, I'm interested in gathering feedback around language and how it makes people feel. I've posted a short survey here, and would be interested in your comments and opinions. It'll only take a few minutes! Thank you. https://goo.gl/forms/L9hYqFaVyzefRArv2

The descriptors all amount to the same thing no matter which euphemism you use. Besides, 'feelings' don't come into it - this is debt to the public purse; your job is to collect it not wet nurse the debtor.Mornië utulië0

1.
I think it's good , in theory , that they are consulting people BUT
2. I've never really had money problems but this questionnaire made me feel stressed trying to make sense of it.
It's terribly badly constructed , with confusing wording ,which isn't a good start !
3.would this not be better placed on the debt free board?
4. You need to get someone who's expert at constructing questionnaires, because , sadly, you are severely lacking in ability here.
When you asked the question would you prefer to do this online or by phone, what has that to do with feelings-why wouldn't you just offer both?
It's a pointless question.
Also , as everyone on here is obviously Internet savvy, it's a loaded question.0 -
3.would this not be better placed on the debt free board?
It's been placed on EVERY board.
Methinks it's spam

I do think it's on too many boards, but as it's done with MSE permission you can't really categorise it as spam.
I have completed the survey, and didn't have any issue understanding it, but I think it might have been better to have shown the words/phrases in context rather than in isolation.0 -
