This does NOTHING to address the 'debtor not at this address' issue??? Which was one of the big issues leading to many set asides and thereby wasting court time.

    Or am I missing something?

Someone is missing something as it does not address the
problem that was highlighted by the Daily Mail who said ...

"Our reporters discovered that families are being financially crippled by rulings they knew nothing about. Some lost their homes and even their businesses"

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3786132/I-ll-end-credit-rating-scandal-pledges-PM-acts-Mail-exposes-rulings-ruined-lives.html

Baroness Altmann said the CCJ scandal was an 'absolute outrage'

12 months down the line since that report and nothing
    has happened ???

Despite all the hoops these claimers will have to go through,
the "unknown" CCJ has not been dealt with so we must
    assume the problem will continue

They felt that the new Protocol had to apply to all types of debt claims, not specifically PPCs, and that service to the last known address was acceptable.

There is also the factor that the Court Service is now run as a profit centre, hence the recent increase in the set-aside fee from £80 to £155, then to £255. They quite like having a few of those to top up the coffers.

It is being suggested that the new independent CoP should mandate that any PCNs which are over X months old cannot be the subject of a Claim unless the current address has been verified. We'll see what happens with that.

Unbelievable "last known address was acceptable." ???
Theresa May has pledged to root out abuse of county court judgments"

THE ABUSE = last known address. She failed to root this out

Maybe the MoJ should read the daily mail article again to fully
understand the devastation suffered by people.

Jesus, and these people are running this country ??

Wherever did you get the preposterous notion that the PM, or any politicians, are 'running the country'?

PMs, Ministers and other MPs are here today, gone tomorrow at the stroke of an X on a ballot paper. Many Civil Servants have careers in Government spanning 30 or 40 years. That's where the real power lies.

Have you never seen those factual documentaries Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister?

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

HAHA .... great old comedies but this is like
"Only fools and horses" and the word "plonker" comes to mind

My uncle was a civil servant for 40 years and he suffered
the boredom only because of the pension
Sadly he got dementia which really did not make much
difference as his knowledge of what he did in the service
    had faded well before that.

All these people live in their own little world, not the real world

This Thread has now shown that Theresa May and the MoJ
have failed the public in not addressing the CCJ scandal

Mrs May >> when is this woman's government going to act on CCJ's that she promised ???

If she is too busy screwing up Brexit, give the job to a professional, that is assuming there are professionals in her government

May's failed promise was over 2 years ago ?? disgusting
