On the second note, don't fall for the "upgrade offers", the networks love to hook you into staying with them for another 2 years :rotfl:
Separate phone and SIM only gives greater flexibility and can work out cheaper.
Ive got a thing against cases, also dont like particularly bulky phones. My current phone is advertised as being durable, if it needs a case it kind of goes against being advertised as durable. I dont like the idea that you have to buy a case for most phones now, just make the phones stronger, or whats the point in spending any time on aesthetics?!
Just in the middl eof talking to voda to see if there willing to budge ontheir 'offers' doubt it but will give them the chance.0 -
I dont sit on my phone. Wasnt aware i was expected to carry it around as surely it would be the same placed in a front pocket? Maybe i need a manbag.
How do you sit on a front pocket?

SIM only is the way to go.
Three Network are doing some great SIM only deals at the moment. I have just signed a 12 month contract for 4GB data for the price of 1GB with unlimited minutes and texts. It is a special offer and is only £9 a month.
Because I used a refer-a-friend link I and my friend will get a £25 Amazon voucher each.
I don't think I can post a proper link but anyone who is interested could try this
referme[dot]to/Wtfgapo
We could both get a £25 Amazon voucher.0 -
Thanks for your help, im just looking at mobilephonesdirect! Theyve got the z5 compact on vodafone, unlimited mins and txt, 3gb data for £28p/mth (£23 after cashback redemption). Have a cheaper deal with talkmobile that works out at £20 something but £80 upfront cost. Never heard of talkmobile though?!
Im thinking these two look good, considering sim only is ~£15.
Thing that made me get the z3c was the removable storage and the z5c is the same.
Talk Mobile is an online network that uses the Vodafone network. This is all I know about them.0 -
Don't tell me you never sit down without removing your phone from your back pocket and where do you put the phone when you're sitting?

At the table that im sat at, or on the arm of my settee.
You wouldnt, however pressure would be put on the phone. Just to reitterate, the phone broke in my rear pocket when i bent down to pick something up, if the force works one way, the opposite force will apply the other way.
I havent gone with a sim only deal sorry, i renewed with vodafone (whoops!).
I got a z5compact with unlimitied mins and txt and 3gb data, contract is £22.40 per month. Very happy with it. Probably could've saved a quid or two more but dont have to worry about transferring numbers etc now. It comes tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for your help!0 -

You're assuming 'everyone' puts their phone in their back pocket, personally I never have done or ever will, I just leave my phone in my front pocket, I have the original Z and never had it dial as the screen is locked when the display is off.0 -
They weren't. I think you misread the actual and the intent.0
