Small Pills in Foil Blister Packs

You can just have them put into an accessible pack, the pharmacist will also put them in the right slot eg morning, lunch, dinner, bed time etc.
As my late father used this service, I asked about it for myself but was told that it is only cost effective for the pharmacy if the doctor will issue weekly instead of monthly prescriptions, but they had to decline as my GPs refused to do this for regular prescriptions.0 -
It may seem like a small thing but I entirely agree with you, I had one lot of my hypertension meds that were pretty much impossible to remove without breaking the tablet, and another where the only way to get the tablet out was by using fleshandbone's suggestion of a knife to slit the foil. The manufacturers cannot have tested this, and for prescription medication I'm not sure what you can do about it as you don't really have any choice of supplier, you get whatever the pharmacy has sourced that day.
Perindopril by any chance ? I find that either one section opens, with difficulty, breaking the tablet, while a couple of other sections break open by themselves, exposing the tablet.
Various brands of gastro-enteric aspirin seem to have very tough foil, though one, whose tablets are not circular is very easy to open; typically the latter is rarely available.0 -
Those pill extractors wouldn't work with tablets like perindopril as the tablets are long and delicate.0

I'm the same only I have 3 different capsules like that and I have lost count of the number of them that have burst
I fill my weekly pill box on a Sunday afternoon now and I break all the foil holders with a small knife then empty all the tablets into a big bowl and then fill the pill box from that.
I know it sounds a bit long winded but it works for me0 -

I really feel sorry for those with bad hands because even as a big strong bloke, I struggle and curse every morning when trying to pop them out.
Eventually they tend to come out at the speed of a bullet, ricochetting around the room only to end up under some furniture, leaving my forearms so pumped up that I look like Popeye!
The bane of my life.....a lot of prescription pills etc,, are from places like Russia, very cheap, and the packaging reflects this.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
