Finally back . I've barely posted on the forums recently . Lots of stuff going on including more appts after we were just getting used to less .
Recent problems with meds supply, the ones that can't be stopped suddenly, took up a lot of time and energy . So pretty much no spoons for a while.
I've just noticed on another thread candy that you've lost your beloved Zeus. I remember remarking here a while ago on his beautiful , soulful eyes when you posted a pic. I'm so very sorry for your loss There are some pets that live on in our hearts forever and I expect Zeus will be one . Gentle hugs to you and Bonnie.
    .

Thoughts as always are with dear Wolfy and her husband . I hope things are going ok with our friends here . The weather has been lovely and sunny here the last few days and the days lengthening have helped to lift the spirits .

Still no response from DWP following the return of the shorter PIP reassessment form . Dds monthly payment is still going in to her account so no panic there.

    Take care all

I've just got back from dumping Mr Wolf at the horse-piddle for his visit to the neurologist. He has instructions to tell them about the motility issue that prevented a fully successful colonoscopy last week, as the people at the endoscopy dept said his Parkinson's may well be a factor.

I've spent most of the last three days flat out on the sofa with barely the energy to lift a glass of water; and I've barely eaten in that three days either - simply can't face food.

However, I have to just get on with it; Mr Wolf needs me in better form than this; and Bluebell arrived this morning for her holiday.

Candy I am so very sorry to learn that Zeus has crossed Rainbow Bridge; that just is so unfair. I hope Bonnie is coping ok (and you too, of course).

candy I was remembering Buddy when I read your latest news . So much grief in a short time. Words aren't a great deal of help to you at the moment and sadly in Bonnie's case all the hugs and loving words you give her can't help her understand .

Once you've brought Mr W home make sure you rest when possible Wolfy . I've been flat out a number of times recently , insomnia and no appetite . I rather unwillingly started an iron and vitamin supplement a few weeks ago on the advice of the practice manager and the last few days sleep has improved and appetite is picking up too It's just herbal . I don't feel ready to zoom around like the duracell bunny but am dealing with things bit by bit.
Enjoy your time with Bluebell .

I'm just catching up on all the posts I missed . I've got one eye on the TV . If anyone is interested in social history I'm watching"A house through time" on BBC2 . I watched the 1st series a couple of years ago which featured a house in Falkner St Liverpool It follows the history of the house since first built to the present day The Liverpool one started with the cotton trade , slave trade etc and told the stories of all who lived in the house to today

This new one is set in Newcastle . I found the last series fascinating as it tracked wealth and poverty and documented history .

New series was worth watching It makes me quite glad I've never been wealthy .The big bank crashes in the 1800s led to poverty for one of tonights wealthy inhabitants as it did for another in the Liverpool series .

mothernerd I've been wondering how the plate spinning was going. Just read todays post on the other thread . Forget any thoughts of doing the admin tonight and get thee to bed. I feel exhausted just reading all the things you do so please cut yourself a bit of slack when you can. I understand the admin thing I hate having stuff hanging over whether in my head or on some list I keep losing .

    Hey everyone!

It feels like it's been a while ... things are ok over this side. I have started new meds and although I'm only a week in I feel really good on them. I have been waking up early and ready to face the day. This is unheard of for me!

The kids are off on Easter holidays and it's a scorcher! DH has been doing the garden and it looks beautiful, he has laid new turf and dug a new boarder. I think it's my favourite place to be!

I'm still off work and after a family crisis involving my mum I won't be back for a while. She is a huge help to me but now she can't help me out as much so we need to be doing more for ourselves and the kids.

Due to the delay I'm going back to work I have decided to pay of as much of our debts as possible all are 0% but just feel it may start to get tight if we don't get rid of some of the excess chunk! So have been working hard on that and reading a lot of the DFW board diaries.

The children have had a lovely holiday from school (the weather is a huge help) and it's has just shown me we can do so much for very little £££.

I hope everyone is still around as would hate this thread to die off ... it is always such a huge support to me when I'm struggling. Take care everyone and have a lovely Easter :j

Thanks for the advice pollyanna. Plate spinning has slowed down as I'm now on week 11 of the bug from heck. Doctor has given me tamiflu which helped and have had another course of antibiotics (which also helped). Doctor sent me for a chest x-ray (wants me to have another in 6 weeks) as there are some signs of infection in my lungs (maybe same as mum had) and blood tests - lots and lots of blood tests.

I have raised ESR levels which indicates that there is inflammation somewhere so they are looking for rheumatoid arthritis and he has mentioned mum's myasthenia gravis . Trying to find an underlying cause for the bug and my permanent tiredness. Ordinary tests have come back and I've been put on high dose Vitamin D which gave me a boost last time I had it. Hoping the other tests show something (preferably something fixable).

Had my sleep apnoea monitoring last week - of course I had a night when I barely slept.

Been doing stage 2 of the grand declutterathon over the weekend. Donations to 3 different charity bins and one shoe recycling plus bag of carrier bags to YMCA. Identified a farmhouse chair, small fridge and large wheeled shopper which can be donated and DS2 came round and moved the cube shelves I emptied out of my bedroom. I have a list of 'next things' but couldn't get the couch potatoes to help - they did fill a bin bag with rubbish, a bag for life with cans and bottles and DS3 went out to the bin with 3 pizza boxes found after I'd taken the others.

Came to mum's yesterday evening with 4 bags (2 food, one clothes, one laptop, books to read etc). Unfortunately I had buried the bag of paperwork underneath the things I moved off the cube shelves before moving them (completely emptied them weeks ago but have been using them as pigeonholes to sort remaining stuff into categories) so only have fun things to do with me. I am staying until at least Tuesday afternoon as we have mum's neurology check up on Tuesday morning.

Will stay longer if mum needs me to, as her partner died last Thursday evening. It was expected. He went into a home nearly 2 years ago as he had dementia (mum had been caring for him for about 7 years to the great detriment of her own health). Until recently he pottered happily round the home and has had excellent care (they even gave him his own set of papers to play with when they were doing paperwork) and was happy to play when the youngest great-grandchildren visited.

He became sick a few weeks ago, had no interest in anything, wanted to stay in bed and was barely eating. His family and mum have been visiting frequently over the last few weeks.

Today I am grateful for good weather (had the door open all day but left the padlock on the gate), for good food (mostly cooked/ prepared by me) and for having left the paperwork behind.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Hi everyone - I feel like I'm resurfacing again. I usually find when things are bad and I'm unwell I disappear for a bit.

Things are looking better - I'm fully on my new medication and 99.9% have the work on the house finished. We still have a big project but not even thinking about that for 3 years.

I have been cooking again which is great and makes me feel more productive. The money is getting managed a lot better and we have been able to tackle some of our debt. It's all been manageable so far but don't like having it so wanted to aim at getting it paid off.

Kids are fine and are off school AGAIN! I swear they have been off loads lately. They go back Monday then only 6 weeks until the end of term. I'll be glad for a bit normality next week.

Have been having a lot of hospital appointments recently and it's taking up loads of my time. I know it needs to be sorted but I'm there 3 times a week at the moment.

I hope everyone is doing ok and I'm thinking about those who are in difficult times at the moment.
