Thanks
I was about to say it happens at the spin point as I tried the spin setting and got E16 just now (after the E03)..
so , not sure how to check this? I dont have a multimeter, but the link above suggests that the person resolved by taking the heater out and cleaning the gunk.
not sure if I can access the heater but ill take it apart again later today or tomorow0 -
I know Wilko sell Citric Acid for about £1.50, but you might be able to find it elsewhere. Twice a year I pour a full box of Citric Acid into my machine and run it through on the hottest wash, which is normally either 95c or 90c. This is what I would recommend you do.0

Thanks, but the problem is that it stops half way through so I cant run a full cycle? usually stops before the spin where it would normally drain the water out?0 -
Sounds like the heater might be the cause of your problem then - if you don't know how to test it, or don't have the tools, then I'd personally call out your local repair person.0

out of curiosity, why would the heater cause this effect>? even if it was faulty/needing cleaning why would it interfere with the draining?
I'm going to check ithe heating element if your soda crystals and vinegar doesn't work.0 -

I've a 4 year old Hoover Dynamic and it does this now and again too.
I get the E03 first, then the E16.
I just switch it off at the wall for a few minutes, then put it on a spin.
I plumbed it in elsewhere to fit a dishwasher next to the sink, my theory is that my waste pipe is now too low, but I've not investigated further as I can work around it.0 -
ive now checked the heating element and it looks ok, its not that bad, its got hardened lime scale on it but nothing that should cause problems I dont think. Ive cleaned it as best as I can with white vinegar but cant see this being an issue.
just going to put it back together, and run on 90c with soda crystals and vinegar.
The drainpipe hasn't been moved or adjusted so its still in the same height position.
if this still fails then will just a new machine, as it may be the circuit board or something.0
