I have just realised I don't need to go out for anything else, so a charity shop run can wait another day. That, and doing tonight's dinner from the fridge and freezer, means today could be my second NSD.
I am slowly getting back into the NSD mind set.
Good thinking there Nargle!
I have five nsd to find and five days to do it,meaning no unbudgeted spends at all.I should manage it.....0 -

Spiced Crab Apple Vodka - wash crab apples and pack in a tall Kilner jar. Add a couple of cinnamon sticks, three or four cloves, then about three tablespoonful sugar or honey. Pour in vodka slowly until the jar is full. Put lid on jar, invert it and twirl it around a bit to mix it up. Keep in cool dark place for about two months, turning it every now and then. Strain through a sieve into a jug, then pour through muslin/clean cotton hankie/ any clean cotton cloth (but I draw the line at the old man's underpants) into sterilised bottles. When cool, seal and label.

Don't knock old men's underpants.I hear that some bright spark is rushing out a festive perfume called 'Boxer Boudoir' or something like that..... :eek:0 -

Not for anything elaborate - for a week away next month we got free eurostar tix for. I'm thinking cheap airbnb, bring own food from stores...
I've learned to steer clear of secret escapes etc unless I'm actually organising a holiday I have funds set aside for. Holiday pot is part of plan when back on track.House fund: ~£5000 / £10,000_£1000 emergency fund #208 - £151.74/ 1000 _
