G24 parking ticket

Unfortunately I have already contacted debt collectors out of sheer panic, however the guy at the other end was not helpful and really quite rude. All he was interested in was the money and said I couldn't appeal. He put the phone down on me when I asked for copies of letters, he said the letters would be produced at a court hearing!
Debt collectors can't get any money off you unless you are stupid enough to give it to them. If they went to court, they would get nothing as it would go to G24, not them. The debt collectors don't want it to go to court because they won't get paid if it does. They are lying.I married my cousin. Thanks guys, it's all a bit scary. Especially when they are sending demanding letters and your good reputation could be damaged through them.
No need to be scared .... you are dealing with low life
When you asked coupon-mad what to do next she repliedNothing. This is only G24!
Take notice of coupon-mad please0 -

Your reputation cannot be affected by debt collectors. They have no powers that can affect you. They can't take you to court, or send bailiffs round, or "give you" a CCJ.
The only thing they can lawfully do is send you bog paper and firelighters.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
you are not "in trouble" either , its a civil claim , not a criminal matter
its a claim for an unpaid invoice that you are disputing , nothing more
the debt collectors are powerless , IGNORE them completely
I too am surprised to read G24 and Meadowhall in the same sentence , especially as 2 other PPC,s were mentioned in those debates mentioned by umkomaas earlier, neither being G24
namely , C P PLUS (it was PCM before them) - G24 was never mentioned
one poster was adamant there were no parking restrictions there, despite signage to the contrary0 -

How do you tell if a debt crawler is lying? Check if they have a pulse! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Does anyone know how I can contact the landowners? I've tried emailing legal and general but had no luck. Telephoned them and was cut off.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Google the correct name of the retail park and they may have a website page to 'contact us'. If not, then your Google results should include a few newspaper articles which might talk about the retail park in general or even be a rant about unfair 'fines' - these often have a comment from (and name of) the managing agents.
Or you should see retail adverts and leaflet PDFs which often include an email of a property agent who may still be the managing agent (or will know who that party is).
Or send a pm to trubster who is our resident Meadowhall 'parking shark' expert:

This is the Retail Park associated with Meadowhall, not the Meadowhall Shopping Centre itself, and I can confirm it is G24 Ltd. that manage it as I've had dealings with them before.
If it *REALLY* is the first letter you've recieved after 4 months - and you've not accidentally thrown the previous ones away or whatever (no judgement from me - it's easily done) - then they've got no claim whatsoever, as there is a time limit on POFA2012 on how quickly they have to send out a NtK - I believe it's 56 days? But I'm sure the experts here will correct me if i'm wrong.
So, if it were me, I'd be writing G24 Ltd. a letter stating that this is the first communication you've received, that you've had no other communications from them, and unless they are willing to provide evidence that they've previously sent out correspondence (an NtK, or an LBCCC for example), that they are outside the time limits allowed to pursue Keeper Liability under POFA2012, and that you cordially invite them to take a long walk off a short pier.0
