Ryanair free child seat query

We've got 2 adults and 1 child (5 yo) flying to Lanzarote in March. So since Sept 2016, you have to pay for 1 adult but get the 1 child for free. The other adult don't mind sitting elsewhere to save a few pounds. However, when I book the 1 adult and 1 child, it is charging for the child as well. Am I doing something wrong?

It says "at the time of booking" http://corporate.ryanair.com/news/news/160729-ryanair-cuts-the-cost-of-reserved-seats-for-passengers-travelling-with-children-under-12-as-fares-fall-10-4-in-2016/?market=en
Are you choosing for an existing booking?
If you have to put in the child's date of birth in, double check that it's correct.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
