Great link Tom, worth a good browse.
No problem.
I like Australia very much but I also like Tenerife and spend at least a week there most years in Los Gigantes from where it's easy to spot dolphins and whales by taking a short trip on a jet-ski.
They're majestic to watch.
However it still flummoxes me why some people come on here to score points off posters who are simply trying to answer queries from someone.I mean it's fairly obvious to most intelligent people that there aren't any kangaroos in Tenerife but saying there are no dolphins ...

Nice.
I was lucky enough to have a wild one swim up to and around me at the shore in Oz. Of course there are also opportunities to go out to see them in the open water.
Will take a look at what the Canaries have to offer.0 -
Somebody asked if there were wild dolphins swimming around and TTGS posted an excellent link.
I asked. I didn't say that there were none. But this thread is about Asia and the Caribbean. I know that you are a bit crazy, so didn't want to derail the thread. But I can see that you are going to do it anyway.0 -

Who said there were no dolphins?? You are jumping to conclusions. I was referring to a completely different issue with richardw. That is him stalking me on different threads, trying to bait me.
So instead derailing this thread supposedly covering Asia and the Caribbean, I suggested that we take the discussion somewhere else.
If you go back to take a look, you will see that his suggestion of Tenerife was in reply to MY post, not to Leanne.
I replied that he should let me know the best time to visit, but to perhaps take it to another thread.
Ok?

If you get your timing right, you can get most of that on Tenerife, without jet lag and changing planes.
No need to wear yourself out getting to Tenerife... you can get all that in Aberdeen! The only places where I have seen wild dolphins have been the Pacific coast of South America... and Aberdeen harbour!0 -

Between Fishguard and cardigan is possibly the easiest and closest for many people in England and Wales.
Very high chance of blue whale sightings off Sri Lanka but maybe that's expanding the debate too far.0
