My kids' school insists that all children attend dressed as a Marvel superhero. It's a pain getting hold of a decent quality Captain America shield, I can tell you, and my son refuses point-blank to go dressed as Thor.0

At least you know you can buy the Captain America and Thor footwear in Shoe Zone though, I don't know how we would cope without that place, it's just the best.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Remember to take into account how long the uniform will last. I wore the same blazer (2nd or 3rd hand) for all three years I needed one as a kid. I can't imagine most jumpers lasting that long (the years I needed it didn't coincide with a growth spurt!).But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

DD says she would like to ban a girl at her school for the same reason, sending a letter saying
'We know Connie is very good at her lessons and has met Princesses but we are sending her home because everyone she stands next to looks really ugly in comparison. Connie can return when she doesn't look as attractive'0 -

Thor is so overrated...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Depending on where you live a uniform policy is enforced to prepare the pupils for either
a - a working life in the professions
b - to look smart and avpoid porridge in front of the magistrates. It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0
