When to expect PIP application?

I am in receipt of high rate mobility component of DLA. At the time I was awarded, about 15 years ago,the letter stated it was for an indefinite time.
I have been waiting for my PIP application to arrive and as yet haven't had anything.
Does anyone know when I am likely to receive it? I would of thought I would have had it by now.
I am in Merseyside. Is anyone else in this area and have had theirs?
Thank you.

Hi, I am not in your area but, my partner had lifetime award of dla until we moved home recently and that triggered his pip application as it seems in our area any changes can do this. I do know of several people in our immediate area who also have lifetime awards and have heard nothing regarding the change over.
Just sit tight until they contact you and then be prepared for the form filling. Make sure you have all the medical evidence you need and also the names and contact details of as many medical professionals as possible that know about your difficulties and hopefully it will go smoothly for you.0 -
Thanks for that.
I was concerned imagining that my application had gone missing in the post or something!
At the moment I am waiting on my new motability car. I change over early October.
I even rang motability and asked them what to do as I had not heard anything from the DWP and you hear of horror stories of people having to hand back their cars. The chap said just to continue and order the new car as no one can predict what is going to happen.
It's such a worry.0 -
i'm in N E Derbyshire, with an indefinite DLA award and haven't heard anything yet0

I'm based in the North of Scotland and receive indefinite DLA but have had nothing for PIP yet.
My Motability car expires next April, so I too am in a quandary whether to renew or not due to the horror stories of people losing their cars.0 -
Don't forget there's a support package offered by motability if you lose the car on changing to PIP.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

I'm in Merseyside. My son is on DLA (indefinite award). Two years ago, when he was 16, I expected him to be transferred to PIP. I was told, when I rang to ask, that any dated awards were being dealt with first. I have just had to sort a new car from Motability, and as his latest letter was the annual update stating that he is on HRM indefinitely, this was accepted. We have had his car for about nine weeks.0

I am in SW UK on an indefinite / lifetime DLA award (from 10 years ago) and have not heard a thing yet about the transfer to PIP - I was thinking of jumping the gun and applying for PIP, since my condition has deteriorated considerably in the intervening years ... but as yet, have not got round to it !!0

I'm in Liverpool. I'm 68 and had indefinite DLA low care, high Mobility. I have a Motability car that is due to go back in October (It was a 5 year lease due to low mileage) and got the PIP letter in July. Had to return home from holiday in Wales for the Face to Face, which was such a disaster that I've complained to ATOS. Very first thing the so-called Assessor reported was the exact opposite of what I said. Oh, I requested the Health Practitioner Report, which is how I know she lied.
Motability have been very helpful. When I got the letter my husband rang them up (I have problems using the phone) and they have increased the lease by 6 months in hopes that things will be settled one way or the other by then.
I expect to lose my car from what the assessor has written in her report. Despite the fact I arrived in a wheelchair, and didn't get out of it in the meeting, she says I can walk more thant 20 metres but less than 50. I'm trying to work on my mandatory reconsideration letter, but fully expect to have to go to Tribunal.
Make sure you have someone with you when you are called to the face to face meeting.0 -
