Alternate to Sky broadband?

Looking to move from Sky as have had ongoing problems along with terrible customer service.

I'm looking for alternatives, spoke to EE who have regular bb at £1 & fibre for £10 and their is no charge to transfer the line and contract to my new address when I move in 6 months time.

What is EE BB like? Are their any excellent alternatives?

There are posts on here with complaints about all the major providers, but personally, I've found Sky's customer service to be excellent (unlike BT's, but, then, some have never had problems with BT)).

Well don't bother with BT! I thought they'd offer better customer service, but I proved myself wrong. With most call centers you get put through to a (coherent and easy to understand) UK based center within working hours, but with BT, unless you are leaving or want to sign up they will always send you off to an Indian Call center who at best is difficult to understand and at worst is not just difficult to understand but finds you difficult to understand; makes every call at least 10 minutes longer than it needs to be due to this.

PlusNet used to offer good customer service, until they cut their helpline hours. Last time I checked it was over an hour at times to get through to them, and that's if you aren't spending your time dealing with struggling speed issues during peak times.

Talktalk- don't even go there- no seriously, don't. I have not enough space or time to explain why. Just trust me!

Sky has decent customer service when I've spoken to them. Irritatingly only 7am-11pm which doesn't work for me, and there are still faults but it's much the same elsewhere tbh. I'm yet to be put through to an overseas call center. I know my time will come but so far I've been with Sky since April, have regular connection issues (it's the line BT Openreach wont repair rather than any of the many service providers I've tried). Don't expect customer service to improve much from Sky, yes there are areas to improve but it's no worse than elsewhere.

I was with Sky; they were good, but I lost patience with waiting for the fibre roll-out and I went to Virgin.

    Virgin are very good.

I decided to keep a spare ADSL with EE, as I was working from home and needed a plan-B, but I can't say it's very good, in all honesty.

I would not consider BT - I gave up on them years ago.

I'm thinking of dropping my phone line (& spare ADSL), as all I seem to be doing is paying for a phone to be there for cold-callers to pester me.

Virgin aren't "very good" when you get a utilisation fault in your area because they have sold customers contracts their network doesn't have capacity for.

Then you have the useless/rude/patronising call centre staff to deal with for a couple of years why they give you ever changing review dates and it's never fixed.
