Safestyle windows

Just wanted to feedback on new replacement window's I'd organised for my folks. They needed their entire house down, inc a porch & internal French doors with window's - so a massive job!.
Called all the big boy's & few local well known local companies.
Same old spiel from everyone, with the same overinflated prices.
In the end we went with Safestyle, I know they've had a bad reputation (just as the other well known one's as well).
Had a very no nonsense, non pressure salesmen - very old school!. Never spoke against the competition, showed us the locking mechanism's/range/door's etc answered my parents concerns without fobbing us off.
He gave us a price, with no pressure to sign up & left. My parents wanted additional window's put in with silver handles, instead of the standard white ones. Not only was there no additional charge, but he was happy to throw in the additional window's and openers. Their price at this point was already very competitive.
We were allocated an account manager who oversaw the whole project. They even organised scaffolding to ensure the extension roof was not damaged (no other company did this). Job was over 2 days & I was called every step of the way to make sure all was OK. Fitters were very clean & very patient with my parents.
Overall cost was just under £10k & no credit card charge applied.
I have no affiliation to them, but wanted to feedback. Hope this was not a one off eh!.

I used Safestyle last year. Brilliant job, excellent price. Neat finish. Very pleased and would def use them again.0

I used a local company, quotes from one of the big ones was ludicrous, the local chap was the cheapest of the three local companies, they even worked over the Easter bank holidays, did a good job.
Using a local company and living in a small town has its advantages, if they do a bad job word gets around. The last thing they want, especially with social media. Just make sure they are FENSA registered. Cheers fj0 -
It is good that OP is happy but one has to excercise extreme caution before singing the praises of a double glazing company.
As an example take three of my neighbours. One had their house done by Dunraven who undertook appalling bodging and all round cowboy building. But the owners were happy - they had prieviously used Dunraven, who had then also bodged, but the owner could not care less.
Another neighbour used an independent fitter from around 50 miles away (why? the alarm bells ring) and again appalling bodging. Yet the neighbour has no interest in any of this.
The third neighbour is recommending a local independent despite them walking off having not finished the work, and there are still dangling bird stops hanging down the side of his house.
The upshot of all this is the vast majority of consumers are not qualified to comment on a good job being done. Countless others could not care less. Yet in both scenarios they still put forward the names of outright cowboys as being suitable to work on someones home.0 -
Good or bad, we've got an independent insurance back guarantee & paid by credit card, so pretty much covered even if it was a bodge job.
This site allows us to feedback on both negative & positive experiences. It's important to get a balanced view on both.No one said it was gonna be easy!0 -

My folks used local last time (about 10 yrs back) within a year company was bust & the windows started filling up with water etc. My dad didn't want to go local after that. So decided for a national one, let's see how we go!No one said it was gonna be easy!0 -

It's terrible that people would recommend on companies that are so unprofessional. But with this site & other social media, at least the consumer can try to make an informed decision.
Naming these unethical companies is surely the way forward?.No one said it was gonna be easy!0
