Apple Should Be Ashamed

There you are, all you have to do OP is to prove Andy's assertion and you're laughing.
It's all a scam from the beginning designed & intended to extort money.
How on earth 'extortion' becomes involved I am unsure (the use of threats or force to obtain money illegally) but I'm sure Andy will let you know.
On the other hand it could just be one of those things like others have said.
Apple Fanboi ??
My post is simply my view, feel free to disagree
I feel that it is extortionate, yes. ( NOT the fact that it has broken, but rather the fact that it costs more to fix than buy a new one)
Why do they make their phones so the average user cant replace the battery, effectively giving the device an artificial end of life ?
Why do they make their desktops fitted with obscure screws ? why would they want to make it more difficult for the average user to get inside ?
Why dont they want you to be able to change broken parts yourself , if not for the money ?

You can be excused reading it - you may not be configured correctly to appreciate it. I can promise it won't harm you if you miss the messages in it, but in acknowledgement of your warning I should perhaps add that readers should not be operating machinery whilst on itFightsback wrote: »Please could you be more succinct as I fell asleep after the first paragraph

Sorry to lose you as an avid consumer of my agricultural product, AndyPix. Too much full fat, and not enough time for the exercise to burn it off - know the feelingYou're going to have to go on the ignore list, it takes too long to scroll past your massive walls of text.
Shame really because i find you quite amusing

Why do we have a rant on here instead of OP simply doing what we would have told him - take it back to the retailer for repair or replacement, as are your rights. Your iMac is expected to last a 'reasonable' amount of time, regardless of how long any warranty is. I'd say 2.5 years for a £900 isn't reasonable. Nothing for Apple or any other company to be ashamed of. Electronics can go wrong, but in this case, you're protected by consumer law.0
-
The reason I suspect is that we all have different and perfectly valid ideas about what is reasonable - you'd say 2.5 years for a £900 iMac is reasonable but I am only just prepared now to say that maybe that was was reasonable for my £500 iPhone4, and only because it was simple enough to fix ourselves in the end (for example).
When the things are deliberately sealed up in such a way as to be almost impossible to fix ourselves without doing more damage, then that has to be questionable.
This stuff shouldn't be thrown away after 2.5 years. That would be terribly wasteful.0 -

Never will I go back to a PC or Laptop which gave nothing but trouble with constant slowing down because of 'updates' that you are never quite sure are genuine or not.
please dont tell me you have brought into the mac's dont get virus's myth,
yes there are less virus's that infect mac's but they still get them and are getting more common and sophisticated as more people buy mac's.
otherwise this just kinda follows the same thing as everyone says, you might not have had problems, but others have, personally i have never had a problem with my 9 year old windows based PC, doesnt means others cant or wont have issues, or that i wont have issues in future, every computer system, no matter who has built it, can have problemsDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
These new apple ear pods are rubbish!
All I hear is a buzzing noise! (cleans my ears though....)

the battery life is probably better in what you have got though in the photo,
like really, only up to 5 hours, depending on volume
, i expect most people are going to be lucky to get much more than 3 hours out of them
still im sure they will sell like hotcakes, so well done AppleDrop a brand challenge
