Hi, Can someone who understands these things please tell me if my email address and password were stolen in the 2012 dropbox hack, does this mean that the hackers could then access my dropbox account and view all the documents etc. that I have stored with dropbox? Many thanks to anyone who can help. kje

If you have received an email from DropBox that you were affected that means you were hacked aswell. They cannot view the documents if you have changed the password now.0

Yes -- I think so. I seem to remember there being another issue with Dropbox some time ago where they'd authenticate users regardless of the entered password.
Essentially, if you upload stuff to the Internet, you should assume that you're publishing it for everyone to see.0 -
If you have changed the password then no they cant otherwise yes they can see everything you have0
