Refund/Return Policy If Item Reduced

  • It's only the same as buying a holiday. The price can go up or down, you can't go and ask for your money back if the price goes down. ONLY buy something if you are happy with the price
  • Why make out that a product is faulty when it clearly isnt causing returns that are unjustified. This is possibly why product prices get increased because of returns just like this. And before i get shouted and abused at i know that things like this do go on i`m just saying that prices could be increased because companies not just argos have to employ people to check these items or sell them off cheap and they want to make there monies back somehow.
Like i say have a polite word with the manager and he may be sympathetic and refund and sell you the item back. Therefore nothing fraudulant.

Money was tight so spent £280 on a ipod as a gift?

and damn Argos - Just keep going around to all your high street stores and tell tham that a national chains arn't allow to ever reduce anything that i've just bought from them, ever. Especially when a new model of a product is announced that week. Shame on them trying to clear out the old models by reducing them.

It was their sons 18th, wouldnt you want to push the boat out a bit? And i dont think the op was asking anyone what they thought of him spending £280 on an ipod.....
    'They only had one cow!'
  • Tell them it's got an intermittent fault, where it locks up randomly, yet his friends got one that never does it. Say that apple tech support verified that it must be a fault. There won't be anyone there who can confirm that fault, just stand by this & you'll get a refund
--except if argos decide to send it away for repair and it comes back as 'no fault found' op will look a bit of a wally then:o

in all honesty though if money is that tight and you have a pc, a quick 5 min search would have revealed that new ipods were comming out and common sense would have said the old models prices would drop;)
go instore and try the honest route with a manager, if it works then fab, if it dosent, well thats life but im sure your son will love you for buying it regardless of the price:beer:

So, who voted you for chief, 'my opinion' is take back and get your £100 how ever you can.
Yep, great idea FloFlo. Why not just walk into Argos and take something worth £100 off the shelf and walk out with it?

No different at all from what you are proposing.
