Is there time limit on leaving Feedback?

Problem has only just become apparent, so entirely appropriate.

Yes, within sixty days of the transaction.

    OP few questions.

How did you pay for it? Does the warranty mention the cartridge? Or a one year period at all?

Personally (depending on answers to the above ofc) I'd probably email them saying it was advertised with a 10 year guarantee. The paperwork doesn't exclude the cartridge and if it had/does, you consider it to be an unfair trading practice under the consumer protection from unfair trading regulations as its a misleading action that is (in your opinion), likely to distort the average consumers economic behaviour as you certainly wouldn't have purchased it had these details been disclosed in the offer they made that you accepted. Especially if their warranty states: "repair or replace free of charge any product (or replacement part)"
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Hi thanks for all the replies

I paid through paypal, the warranty that I found doesnt mention the cartridge specifically. The warranty i I guess written very sepecifically.
    It says:
" This product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase until the expiry of the relevant guarentee period shown below" then "The relevant guarantee periods are:-10 years on shower finish products"

I would guess their interpretation of finish product is the chrome coating that the mixer comes so only the body of the shower mixer.

I will try to email them to see if I get any joy.

    Thanks again guys

    Hi Nomoney

I think the way they call it a cartridge makes it sound like it is a consumable and it may be. I wouldnt consider it a consumable

    their listings even now say

"This round concealed thermostatic mixer shower valve is a perfect compliment to any modern bathroom. The thermostatic mixer valve gives you complete temperature control with a built-in anti-scalding device, so you'll never have to worry about a drop in temperature again. Our shower valves also include a 10 Year Guarantee, for your peace of mind".

"Did you know we offer a 10 Year Guarantee?
Because we go the extra mile and don't take short cuts in the manufacturing process we are happy to offer a 10 year functionality guarantee".

Just think they should add even in small the cartridge only comes with a 1 year warranty

No, I wouldn't class a cartridge a consumable. They are in every mixer tap so literally millions of them in use in homes all over the country. It's not like a light bulb where you pop to the local shop to pick one up.
