e2 Save Help

Hi all, My wife has a problem with e2 save and we would like some advice, in Febuary she was due £120 as part of a cashback scheme. When it didnt appear in her bank account she contacted e2 save, they gave the usual we deposited it in your account, check with your bank. She did this and her bank said they never recieved it. She has subseqently contacted e2 save five times by phone, for reasons of confidentality they will never give the full account details of the alleged deposit over the phone so she has requested four times a copy of the tranaction receipt, which they said they would send, which of course has never arrived. Who can we complain too regarding this issue? it seems to me that this looks like a scam and most people would just forget about the money anyway. E2 save are unhelpfull and rude regarding this issue, they take her direct debits to pay her monthly bill no problem but when it comes to giving this cashback nothing appears.

Any advice?

I would contact your local trading standards for advice as they are (could be) in breach of their terms & conditions with regards to their cashback policy.

Chances are t/s will say write them a letter and they'll most probably say what to put in it or even give you a t/s pack that may have a sample letter in it, and ask that you send this off. Send the letter off via recorded delivery and if the letter doesn't mention t/s then just write a small paragraph along the lines of, "I have been in contact with my local Trading Standards and they have advised me to write this letter....."

First of all, I'd think back to see which card details you used when you bought your phone. If you used a credit card, then the cashback will appear as a credit on your next credit card statement. If you used a debit card, then it should go into your bank.

E2Save don't put the cashback into your bank, they refund it to the card details which you gave when you first bought your phone.

A friend of mine had the same problem, he kept arguing that he hadn't received the cashback in his bank account, whereas e2Save were adament that they'd paid it. Only when his next credit card bill came through did he realise that he'd been paid and remembered that he'd given his credit card details and not his debit card details when he first signed up!

I also know of a case where someone gave his wife's debit card details when he signed up and the cashback therefore went into his wife's account. He kept on checking his own bank account for the cashback and only when the statement came through did he realise what had happened!

If all else fails, ask them to confirm the credit/debit number that they've got on their computers, you never know, the cashback could have been refunded to someone else's card!!!

i think the fact that they try and contact you shows that they are aware of the situation if they didnt want to pay you the last thing they would do is contact you, i agree with the guy above.

check all the details are correct and if you do send them anything send it via recorded devliery.

Many thanks for all your help, my wife has phoned them once more this evening to enquire why the woman she spoke to this morning hadnt got back to us as promised. It appears (once trading standards was mentioned) that today they found out it had been put in some one else's account and they would withdraw it and place it in my wife's account! an absoulute joke, no apology, nothing. My advice would be to stay away from E2Save, they are appaling.
