I just had a huge box delivered from approvedfoods. I only ordered it a few days ago and did not expect it till the weekend so very pleased.

I felt so sorry for the delivery guy I having to carry it on a really hot day I offered him an ice lolly. He looked a bit surprised but seemed to enjoy it. I will muster up the strength to open and sort it in a few minutes.

I am glad you will be able to take things slowly with the medication.

I have a bolognese mix simmering in a pan and some carrots. potatoes and sweet potatoes in another pan ready to top a shepherds pie for tonight. Too hot to rush around so am trying to pace myself.

Large box now unpacked and having a sit down before assembling the meal ready to heat up later then having a shower and shampoo and getting changed ready for family popping round.

    Hug to all

  • Just received the news we didn't want my husband did not get his promotion and so has been served his redundancy notice. His last day is October 4 but he is owed holiday and Extra hours. We will survive I'm sure been here before and at least we are mortgage free. We feel his age went against him as he is 55. Then had to phone my friend as her autistic son was due to have a lift to and from the university he is at. That was the hardest phone call I've had to do. Can't tighten our belts anymore.

No major headaches so far with daughter at school. In fact she's very positive and looking forward to sewing after school.

    Hugs

Hi First day back at work for me today after 7 weeks, so back to alarm waking me up....think I'm ready for an early night!
Had a nice day.... good to be back in a routine really . lovely and sunny here today so that's been nice; I've just had my tea sitting in the garden. Got some typing to do for tomorrow and then just going to have a nice bath and see what's on TV.
  • (((Hugs))) to Lainey, LW, Hilly and TA.

Not a good week so far, had a letter from physio saying I had an appointment for my shoulder, so I rang them up and told them I haven't even had the injection yet! They have put me on hold and I have to ring after the injection. I hate going there it is no longer in the hospital but a mile down the road and I can't get there, so hospital transport it will have to be.
So after a phone call to the GP and he will be doing it on Friday morning, I had to get the prescription myself from the chemist today.
Then I had the nurse practioner panicking because my hab1c is through the roof (131 which from 51 is a huge rise), I told her that I had that awful bug and haven't got over it yet. Now she wants me to ask the GP for Keto sticks and was surprised that I haven't been given them.
Added to that my right knee is agony and using the loo is a nightmare even though I have all the paraphanalia :o:(

Doglet is sitting on my lap while I am trying to type, so please forgive any typos:p

Cafekate sorry to hear about your husband's job, I hope he finds something soon xx

A friend of DD brought me a big bag of blackberries today and we had another bag of plums from our neighbour, so I gave her half a bag of plums in thanks.

DH is quite giddy with excitement because he found twelve pears on the tree, he thought that it wasn't going to fruit :D

Won't be long before we have to grease the fruit trees and put the bands on them, we have already started to put the garden to bed for the winter. Runner beans will be ready to pick in a week.

I have sown some cabbages, cauli, onions, broad beans, turnips, broad beans, peas, artichokes and asparagus. Salad leaves will be sown in the greenhouse.

Pickling onions in the greengrocer already so I will be starting my pickled onions, piccalilli, chutney and onion jam next week, shoulder permitting.

    Sorry for the long post
    BFN xx

  • Lainey hope you and your Mum have a peaceful night honey.Got in touch with my holiday company and bless them there had been a glitch in their system and my refund is winging its way to my account. We have used them for around 6 years so I know they are pretty good as a rule.

Next years holiday house is booked for Shorwell on the Isle of Wight and it has a very large garden so Dds little dog and her new lurcher will appreciate it. The lurcher has to go and get his bits snipped at the end of the month ,so he won't be a happy chappy for a little while :) but it has to be done and its easier than getting the little girl dog done, less invasive apparently.
Right I am off to bed for a read, good night God Bless all here
