Congratulations, Grandad! Every child should have a close relationship with their grandparents - it should be prescribed on the NHS!

    So pleased for you :T
What lovely news - congratulations to you and your family. I love being a nanna - my granddaughter is 20 months old and I look after her three mornings a week. It's lovely watching her grow.

I wish you and your family the same happiness.

    Thanks guys. :o

  • Lovely news. My baby granddaughter is 11 months old and just learnt to crawl. I look after her one day a week when my daughter works. I am sure you will have some wonderful times watching her grow up.

Thank you! :j It's lovely, hearing such nice stories from other grandparents! Me and my wife literally cannot WAIT to look after our grandaughter for a day. Then a weekend! Then a week!!!

We're looking forward to her getting a bit older so we can take her to the park, the river, the beach etc...

    And as for CHRISTMAS! :D

Well, this year she won't know much about it, but next year! :j:j:j

    Congratulations to your family Peter!

My parents are eagerly awaiting their first grandchild (also a girl) courtesy of my younger sister....7 days until due date!
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭

They have called her Ruby. Not named after anyone, they just love the name. I think it's a gorgeous name. :)

That is a beautiful name. Congratulations to you all :)

Enjoy every minute, it will fly! My niece is 14, my parents (her grandparents) and I can't believe it. Seems only yesterday we were going to meet this teeny little 6lb bundle :D

Thank you tea lover. :D It is a cute name isn't it?

Ruby. So pleased with that lovely name, and all the family likes it too... Including our lovely daughter in law's parents.

Our son's MIL was worried they may call her something like a real pop culture name; maybe Demi or Rihanna or Miley or Selena or Britney. :rotfl:

But all along, they decided they were going to go for an old fashioned name. :)
