Surely the criteria include making as much money as possible in a tight market ?
How are people losing money if they get 3%, 4%, 5% or even 6% with just a little effort ? These accounts aren't based on shares or assets that can gain or lose value.0 -

You might find this link useful https://www.bsa.org.uk/about-us/members-of-the-bsa
There are less than 50 Building Societies now left in the UK. The above link also throws up a couple of Credit Unions.
Some Building Societies do restrict membership to geographical locations.0 -

There isn't anything suspicious about the Family Building Society. As people have already stated it is part of the National Counties Building Society. They are FSCA protected up to £75,000.
I have money deposited with them, and whenever I have contacted them they are very friendly and efficient.0 -

The Family Building Society do have a physical address, and they can be contacted at 30 Church Street, Epsom, Surrey. I have written to them there, they contact you straight away (by post if you prefer).0 -

Email received today : Market Tracker Isa (Issue 1) .. rate will decrease from 1.22% to 1.09% on 01/10/2016.
The same rate decrease also applies to Market Tracker (1).0
