E tickets voided by travel Agent

Hi
We booked Virgin Atlantic flights with an online agent last November 2015, Abta certificate was provided and E tickets issued. Then when we arrived at airport 13/8/16 we were informed by Virgin our tickets had been voided the day we had paid in full, so obviously had agent had cancelled after receiving our money. We had no chioce but to pay virgin the on day price at nearly double the cost. We did on day contact them but got no where with them, they said they had tried to contact us the day before we where due to travel!!!! We are still trying to get our money back from them and wondering if anyone has advice with what to do next, how to claim back extra money we have paid or if this has happened to anyone else
Thanks
Lisa
