Claiming from TUI

Hi All,

Recently was due to take a flight which was delayed by 11 hours. Asked for the flight to be refunded, took another flight and then shortly after submitted (by email) my request for compensation.

Today, I have been informed that I signed the form requesting the flight to be refunded and by signing, agreed not to seek compensation. Is this accurate?

Booked as part of a package holiday through TUI (Thomas Cook).

The form does state that no compensation can be claimed, but there was nothing else for me to sign. I either waited 11 hours at the airport or signed the form.

Are you able to advise?

Thank you,

David
