LBC from Gladstones Solicitors for a PCN dated 2013!!!

Can anyone assist me with this please???

I've received an LBC from Gladstones for a PCN I received back in 2013, I disputed this at the time with the issuer who denied my appeal. I received a debt collection letter 4 months later and again disputed the charge and heard nothing more.

Now I have received this letter from Gladstones.........having heard nothing for 3 years I thought they had given up as I made it clear I would not be paying.

Can they now chase me for this after this amount of time???

Yes they can, they have 6 years.

Who was the Parking company and did they give you a POPLA code when you first appealed?

It was so long ago but I don't think they did provide a code just rejected my appeal.......it was with Millenium Parking.

check who there parking Co is now , if not millennium , you can go in and state what a sham company millennium are , often giving false tickets and beaten at POPLa , to the point that they left the BPA and joined the IPC ,

Are you sure it was on behalf of Village Hotels or had they just employed them to manage their car park.

As pappa-golf said they are a IPC member.
IPC in turn are owned by Gladstones so I am sure you can see that this is just a huge scam to extort money.

You need to now, issue a severe complaint to Village Hotels and show them about this scam. TripAdvisor is a great place to bring Village Hotels into disrepute.

The parking company be it old or new are scamming their customers and demand they contact Gladstones to arrange a full cancellation.
Next stop is the local newspaper who should be told that Gladstones and the IPC are the same and practice incest

Thanks all for the advice.

Millenium Parking are still employed by the Village, I have a feeling this stems down to the fact I have had several tickets issued by them at this location all in error as I am a gym member. Even recently I had the Village hotel cancel a notice again issued incorrectly, the one Gladstones is referring to in 2013 I was not a member at this time however I was usuing the hotel facilities..............feels like sour grapes to me!

and you can tell the hotel , that unless its cancelled you will be an EX gym member


millennium where not in the IPC when this incident happened , they only joined in feb 2015

You need to act quickly before Gladstones go further.

See the manager at the hotel and show him the letter. Regardless of the fact you were not a member of the gym then, you were a visitor and you are a member now. GET TOUGH on this hotel they do not want bad publicity which they will get for allowing scammers in their car park

I cancelled my membership because of these issues back in June, if they were not IPC members in 2013 does that work in my favour??

And can I use the fact I have had no contact regarding this since 2013???
