Have you checked several groomers elsien? One that was just starting up closer to home asked to quote and quoted £27!!!!!! Just make sure that the groomer understands there is not clipping involved, obviously. It really is wonderful, divorces me completely from the activity so that even if she didn't love her groomer to bits (see those eyes and that smile), she wouldn't hate me for it!

I know it seems to be made for thinck long coats as I got it for Zara BUT I have actually tried it on several short haired dogs (and cats) and it works absolutely brilliant. The "needles" retract as you brush so you can not really hurt the dog

I absolutely hate furminator type of "brushes" as no matter what they claim - they DO cut the fur and break it. Mikki rake definitely does not

I use a zoom groom on my short haired trailhounds- and they find it a pleasant experience! - something like a doggy massage.
My girl has a thicker coat (not that thick) but the white hairs seem to be a lot more penetrating with pointy ends that burrow into black clothing!- or maybe they're just plain noticeable.
Haven't had a lot of hair- yet, but did do earlier in the year.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Nothing to do with moulting, but there was a dog trying to kill / eat a traffic cone in the park opposite work earlier today, and for some reason I thought of Gitdog ...

If he likes a massage, which i'm sure he does....start with that, then incorporate the hoover in with it.

Takes a while, but they end up liking it. With the shepherds i used to bath...dry/massage.....hoover/massage. In the end they were cool with just the hoover.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

I should have said yesterday, in some places I might have thought of getting my phone out and filming it, but I was on my way to catch a train, plus it's not really the kind of park where you want to do that ... Obviously I'd have asked the dog's humans before doing that, but again, it's not the kind of park where you want to talk to people you don't know ...
