BT Broadband + Sport renewal email

Hi

I recently received an email from BT inviting me to renew my BT broadband in order to continue to get a discount on BT Sport. I initially received a 12 month discount when taking out BT broadband on both the broadband and sport package. This expired last month when I was invited to renew my broadbsnd .
The email states renew broadband to get reduced rate on sport and appeared to suggest I was getting the reduced rate continued for both the broadband and sport.
At no time is it made clear that broadband would increase to full price. This is what has happened and the ongoing discount refers to BT Sport only.
I feel it was misleading information and has resulted in my broadband price increasing by 50%.
Has any one else come a cropper of this. I am deliberating whether to take it further and further than BT themselves if necessary. It's as much a matter of principle as cost.
BT have told me I'm banned to rights and it's not worth cancelling because the exit fee amounts to the extra I'll pay over 12 months.

Without seeing the actual email, it's hard to say if you were duped or just didn't read it clearly. You say 'appeared', well what was the actual wording? Most intro deals are only for 12 months.

Can you upload a copy (obviously minus your personal details) to a photo hosting website and post the link here? You'd have to put a space in the link as you're a new user so can't post live links yet.
