Knorr do ham stock cubes, that makes excellent stock for lentil soup. Cumin and smoked paprika, also lift the taste. Also coconut milk gives a good flavour.
I am not keen on tomatoes with lentils, just a personal preference.0 -

I always use the kmorr ham stock cubes too. Doesn't taste as good with any other.0 -

How about some other things with other lentils - Puy or green? One of my standbys when skint is green lentil and parsnip curry - with onions and curry sauce - and I also make a pasta sauce with green or Puy lentils and mushrooms!0
