Btw there are some direct non stop Delta flights starting in May 17 http://www.routesonline.com/news/38/airlineroute/267814/delta-adds-portland-or-london-heathrow-from-may-2017
They aren't everyday though.
The aircraft is a B767, these are 2-3-2 seating.
Codeshare with Virgin of course.0 -
Very interested in the direct flights with Virgin/Delta. We were going to go Premium Economy if not too expensive but can't seem to find any of these seats on the direct flights. Am I doing something wrong ?0

Delta aircraft will operate the direct flights and they don't yet have Premium Economy, they do economy extra legroom seats which you can pick at the time of booking for extra payment. These are rows at the front of the economy cabin.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Not beginning until the 26th of May, so you will likely only get it on your return, unless you change your dates to June.
Delta's Comfort Plus is really nothing special:

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and advice. You have all been a great help to. Now to try and make a decision Direct/Economy, or 1 stop Premium Economy.0

Don't forget your ESTA visa. Official site here:
https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
You may be more organised than me so the following may not apply, but just in case:
1) Bags for liquids etc. Either supply your own or get them free at Heathrow. I would imagine this is the same at other UK airports. US airports charge for the plastic bags. Which on the return journey after you have spent your dollars is very annoying.
2) Don't forget a pen for the forms you have to fill out stateside. US airports don't supply the pens.

Yes, I am getting organised. Have done Travel Insurance for us both. Have applied and been accepted for the Esta/visa. So just to choose the flights now,
One other question. Regarding the Esta. Do I need any paperwork other than a printout saying Application Approved to carry with passport or does it show automatically when the passport is scanned at arrival.0 -
Keep the printouts. But you never have to show them.0

Not true. I needed mine when travelling between the British Virgin Islands and the US Virgin Islands. Be on your guard!
