Good to see some familiar faces still about!

Phew a manic nuts week at work - travelling a lot and working even more - means housework has fallen behind again as apparently husbeast is incapable of doing any of that when he's "working from home"... he has time to play on his xbox, but not tidy up his plates from breakfast? !!!!!!???
He takes mugs to the sink, but the dishwasher is the same distance and they just end up sat in the damn sink! I despair!
Also he had a few things to arrange last 2 weeks - apparently he was too busy and didn't get round to it... one was calling the dentist for an appointment for DD, it's a 2 minute call for crying out loud! But he has time to take half a day off today to do stuff he wants? Bet when I get home he still won't have done the 2 things I asked. Grand.
Sorry having a wee bit of a vent today because it's really really annoying me. I've been in pain for the last 2 days with a frozen shoulder (he's been very sympathetic as he's suffered before himself) so getting home from work at 8 and having a kind friend who's a massage therapist work on me for hour and a half before collapsing into bed and not sleeping well. But he can't pick up the phone twice to make these appointments?
I will grant him he's done DDs lunches and teas for at the childminder. However I manage to do them normally and everything on top so it DOES bug me... a lot!
Positives - sold a figurine on ebay that did ok - need to package and post that this weekend but it's going towards my £300 targetFound an old cheque for £30 so I'm going to try and cash it hehehe as well as my £15 refund for overpaying my windscreen excess. It's getting there!

My challenge THIS weekend is to declutter at least 25 items! Be it bin or sell or recycle I don't care but 25 things are leaving my house! At the rate it's going I might count the husbeast as one of them!!!!!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

That sounds like a good challenge Mrs Tinks - I might join you!
On the chores front; what I hate is when I start something because it's been left for hours/days etc but then OH comes and starts helping as if he was going to do it eventually. My sister used to do the same thing with the washing up and it really p*sses me off lol.
I'm lucky that OH is actually very good and he cooks most days, it's just that I usually have to instigate the cleaning. Have explained that I don't like asking because I feel like I'm nagging but he'd prefer to be asked/prompted.0 -
Soooo... 25 items did indeed NOT leave my house this weekend - oooops!
However Ebay item posted off, some bargain goodies bought for Halloween or Christmas - not sure we're here for Halloween (might be in Florida!) in which case they will be saved till the holidays LOL
This month has more month than money (some new expenses cropped up like a spa day and hair do... meh! Frankly I needed both - it's been a bit of a crappy time and I needed a break to think and just switch off, and I also needed my hair doing which happens every 3-4 months - however I shall add that to my budget. Then my life insurance and unemployment insurance both got approved and they have taken the first payment. Spiffing!) so I really need to be good for the rest of the month - I may need to dip into the money I transferred to savings at the start, but I will get most of it back in my expenses for the month! Just looked at it and it's for several hundred quid yikes! £225 to be precise... well no wonder my calculations were a smidgen off LMAO! BTW non of these trips had more than a few days warning LOL
Must go do that form now whilst I remember!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Edited SOA above with latest MBNA statement - this should go down again when October payment goes out - I moved the repayment days so that should be in the next week.

Which debt are you focusing on? Are the unsecured debts really at 0%? Do you still use the credit cards? Do you have a target DF date?
Sorry about all the questions but difficult to comment on the soa as obviously still incomplete. I like the selling and decluttering though.

To be fair this is more a diary for me - which is why it's not on the main DFW board But yes all the debts are really genuinely 0% Apr, my priority is the Debenhams, because it's gratifying to get rid of debts lol then MBNA and last the picture. The picture is actually an investment piece which we decided to get, and it's 0% until it's paid off. It's likely to double in value over 5 years, more if the signature holder passes away as demand will soar... (Bit of a cult following lol)
Ultimately it's still worth more now (just) than we paid, and selling my guns, the bike and another limited print I own and I'd be debt free. If I was out of work that would be my plan DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

A little more off today as the MBNA payment went out (hooray!) SO not counting car payments that's £645 cleared in a month
I'm quite chuffed with that! I expect the only over payment this month will be what I can earn extra and throw at the Debenhams card - 2 weeks holiday is not going to lend it self to over paying debts I expect but I knew it was coming and I am just happy that I have cash in the bank so nothing will be going on cards!
