  • Hi all

A nice Saturday so far after a very hectic week. A bit of paid stuff, a bit of cycling and just waiting for parents to arrive for a visit.

I blitzed the house yesterday but have still had to sort washing and run the carpet sweeper around. It never ends does it?

Hope Dizzy is OK and also CY, havent heard from her for a bit but may have missed some posts, its been one of those weeks.
  • Morning All :)

We had a busy day yesterday doing various jobs. Hopefully today will be a bit more chilled - the forecast is lovely for the next few days so some garden time will be enjoyed!

I have the WM on to go and will set the DW on shortly. I have, once again, planned a day of freezer meals so no need to go near a shop :money:

I do hope both Dizzy and CY are ok xx
Anyone seen Biscuit Monster or Dancemum around? xx

Yorkshirelass - I was thinking that yesterday, it just never seems to end. Washing breeds at a rate of knots, and the dog is malting faster than I can hoover!

    Have lovely days all xx
    MFW :)

    Morning,

Here there and everywhere today - first match of the season (away) and swimming lesson later. @sda shop coming in between.

Just scratching my planner out for this week: open classroom session tomorrow after school so will go say hi to the teachers and have a look round.
Tuesday I'll drop the kids at friend / neighbour after school until stepdad an get here as I need to be in college before 4:30. It's a bit of a scrabble together but hopefully times will be easier to work with next week. I guess it depends how many students can make a day-session. MIL has said not to worry if it's evenings as she will come each week, but they are just on holiday at the moment.
Wednesday I have a :coffee: booked in with the above flylady :D plus football training.
Thursday I think my girlfriends are coming over for a takeaway / viewing of new kitchen and LR :)
And on Friday I might need to sleep off all the excitement :rotfl:

DD has one of those craft things where you scratch of the black to reveal the rainbow picture underneath - black bits everywhere! So will vac today which will take all of two minutes with the airram :D

Right, off to get breakfast together than find all sports kits :)

  • Happy birthday for yesterday, Frizzle!

Result, Ionafan! Very surprised they wouldn't take jaffa cakes, though.

Bossy, if the scratch isn't deep you could try rubbing in some white trainer shoe cream.

Sewing mostly today, I think. Excellent.
    Better is good enough.
  • Morning all
Hugs good wishes and coping/get well vibes for all who need them.
Sticks and spoons available for all who need those.

Went out last night to see ds1 and a friend of his singing as they were both on at the same venue. Really good night.
Spent yesterday ripping up and bagging old carpet, dysoning foM dust and fixing a couple of squeaky floorboards before new carpet is laid. Currently turning three wrong sized sheets into a valance for the bed base.

Tonight is ds2s Ncs graduation, do looking forward to that.

Have a real lovely day all, will try and pop I tomorrow but will be busy as its ds2 orthodontist appt, then work then I'm collecting step grandkiddies from school taking them for a train ride then having them for tea. Really looking forward to that's they are lovely kiddies.

Iona, sound like tree felling is in the air, our neighbour's got a huge tree on our boundary fence that rally makes our garden dark, she mentioned they were thinking of getting rid as they were changing the garden layout. Dh quickly reclaimed his chainsaw from a friend who'd borrowed it and offers it to them, yesterday he went through basic safety with him next door and the tree is no more-our garden seems huge and so much lighter.

    Have a lovely afternoon all.

Didn't get onto MSE yesterday, as we were decluttering one small dog, back to his owners. :( The bungalow is really empty without him; however, he seems to have enjoyed his holiday, and he was all happy tail-wags to see his owners again - he still came to me for a final cuddle before we left, though. :o

I did Dys0n up two cylinders full of Ronnie-hair afterwards, so some Flying has happened, at least. :D

Mr LW suggested a visit to the pub, and said I had to drive us there; it's the first time I've driven in almost a year, and my arms are really killing me today.

We're away Tuesday and Wednesday; we have an overnight stay in Yorkshire, and Mr LW wants me to share the driving. :(

When he retired, part of his retirement present from work was a Red Letter Experience of a brewery tour and beer tasting at Cropton Brewery, which is near Pickering. I suggested we book it to coincide with our wedding anniversary, which is on Tuesday; so we go up on Tuesday morning; the tour starts at 14:00, and we stay over Tuesday night - all part of the package - and come home on Wednesday.

Hel's teeth, we've been married 13 years!!! How on earth did that happen? :D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Just made an overpayment on our mortgage - feeling really :money: today. I have also listed DDs plastic garden wendyhouse on eBay - she never plays with it, preferring to build dens instead :)

The kids are playing with Shopkins upstairs, and me and the dog are chilling on the Flylady sofa xx

I've just put away all the shopping in my nice neat fridge :)

DS been fed, he did really well at football. They didn't win, think it was 6-5 in the end but these are the development team and its the first time they've all played together so a sterling job really. DS seems to be confronting his fear of upsetting tackling other players and wasn't left languishing in goal - he got to play up front in the second half and made some really good breaks :) ooo we parents were all getting so excited on the sidelines lol

Just sat having a breather - got swim bag ready although no shampoo so I'll grab some in a mo - will save running a bath tonight! Then it's back to the old routine again. Weekend has whizzed by!
