:o Here I am again after a week with no runs... :o

I went back in at the end of W4 today as I thought I'd have lost fitness and I was quite right, it was hard work compared to that accidental W6 run I did last week. Still, someone at work asked me if I'd lost weight which was nice. :) I had to admit it's more a case of having toned up but clothes are looser even if my weight's the same.

  • Fabulous! You give the rest of us hope!

And it's a good sign (though annoying for you) that you didn't think to switch it on at first. Surely that shows your running is a habit and not limited to beating the app?

Thanks all! Thinking I might start doing park runs now, we'll see. Unfortunately not, thought I had switched the app on in fact and I think it cost me a few seconds once I'd realised to switch it on again! Going to work on getting my time down now.. under 35 minutes for 5k and I'll be happy.

Good luck to all with their runs.

Did anyone else run today? I repeated W4R3 (again) with DH running with me. Now to get back to W5!

I am running C25K with my girlfriend and we've just finished week 5 run 2, the 8 minute run was tough! We were almost walking for the last 30 seconds, but I think we'll try run 3 rather than repeating.

What sort of distance / pace is everyone going at? Our entire route (including the walking) is not yet 5k.

We plan to do the local park run once we can run a full 5k without stopping.

I ran that one a couple of weeks ago but I had to make my run very slow throughout! I don't know about distance and pace yet... just getting there is my only goal, lol!

  • Hi all...

First let me say how good it is to read these posts which give me quite a lot of encouragement - particularly ones like Jimmy0's where it states "We were almost walking for the last 30 seconds" :D it must be great felling to keep going when your body is telling you to stop, so I just hope as the runs get longer I'll be able to keep going as well.

Week 2, Run 3 done this morning - oddly, I feel better today than after w2r2, but maybe today was a little cooler.

On, boldly, to week three........:j .

Congratulations to all who are doing this, and keep going...... (the theory being if I find myself encouraging others to do it, I can hardly give it up myself, can I ?!)
