Curious about one aspect of the programme.... we leave a day between runs, but they are arranged in "weeks". Do folk leave an extra day between the last run of the week before and the first of the next week, (more recovery time
) or do you vary it depending on domestic etc circumstances? Or do folk just keep going with a 1 day gap and ignore the notion of "weeks"?
I'll probably do the last run of week 4 on Sunday morning. As week 5 will be harder, would folk advise that I do week 5 run 1 on Tuesday or on Wednesday? Or doesn't it make any difference?

WR - personally I think it's ok to just leave a days gap in between each run (if you feel your legs are up to it). My partner and I only manage 3 a week but the days change, it's just whenever we can fit it in!
The next run for us is W6R3, I feel like the end is finally in sight!0 -

I did W6R2. Note to self - the temperature can rise five degrees in half an hour - get up earlier! W6R2 is two lots of 10 minutes and I think I'll do the same again at least once because the next one is 22minutes non-stop.
Keep it up people -as the app says, we're still lapping everyone on the couch!
I should have mentioned this the other day... you should have your keyboard checked out. Whatever it was you meant to type, when you posted it, it came out as saying "the next one is 22minutes non-stop. "

:rotfl: I know - thought I was hallucinating!
I have repeated W5 R2 today (got up early and realised I could run at that point without melting) so whatever it is my keyboard is playing at, my next run was something vaguely believable. Rest day tomorrow then (oddly enough) if I get the time to run on Monday, it might well be W5R2... again.
In answer to your question I don't alternate running & non-running days because some days it's easier to fit in a run than others. I quite often get 2 running days together then several days off. Interestingly I'm also using a fitness tracker which emailed me recently to say I had done the march of the penguins and climbed a Giant Redwood in the last couple of weeks. I'll let you know whether it hangs the flags out once I get past (wait for it) W5R2.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Well done Cherryfudge!
I've just finished Week 4, Run 3. I'm feeling pretty ok, so I'll probably go for Week 5, Run 1 on Tuesday.
Kind of odd..... I actually seem to be enjoying this.......

I can rarely get out 2 days running so usually leave a couple of days inbetween. I haven't bothered about the weeks as long as I go out every few days.
Still too hot for me this week - only managed 15 mins again today. But still better than none. And far more than i dreamed of doing at the start when running for 1 minute was an effort.
Realised that my best run was last week when it was drizzly!
So still on w8 d1. Will get there eventually.

I know who you mean. Today when I was about a minute from the end of the last run, I remembered how I felt after week 1, run 1..... then suddenly things didn't seem quite so bad!

When I logged in today to my Withings timeline, since I received the watch in January, I have apparently walked or run the length of Costa Rica's Pacific Coast .... 800km.
Didn't even need my passport!

Am so impressed at how much progress everyone is making here. Had a week off due to travel, work etc, but now back to 30 mins 2/3 times a week and trying to get that time down. Still up around 7 mins for a km, so really want to get faster.May'18 DEBT FREE!

Week 5, Run 1 done this morning. Again, managed to keep going and even felt there was a little more in the tank at the end of the last run.
With all the talk about spending on the NHS during the general election campaign, it strikes me that one of the best things the electorate could do is get a group of pals together and decide to do some exercise.
A combination of this plan, and eating a bit more sensibly is seeing my fitness go up, my recovery time go down, my weight go down and the % fat in my body go down (according to my bathroom scales).
