Fletchasketch I know the feeling, I kind of feel like I fail sometimes then I think, whether I waliked more than I should have or went at a slow pace, it's still more than 7 weeks before. I'm on day 3 week 7 on Monday. I'll just keep going until I can run 5k in 30-40min's. We'll get there.0

Week 2, run 1 completed late morning. I found the extra 30 seconds per "run" not too bad and the recovery time seemed a little quicker than I expected.
(As an aside, I was really surprised - I carried out the programme today in one of our small local parks... it's been a lovely day here so far, sunshine and light cloud and the park has loads of open grass, a children's play area with swings etc, and a football pitch. Apart from me, there was nobody else there except an elderly gent chucking a ball for his dog. This exercise thing doesn't seem to be catching on around where I live!)
Going shopping soon. Between the exercise and the shopping, I'm not sure which will be worse!
Keep up the good work everybody. I'm full of admiration for those who have kept this going, week after week, even when it gets a little tough. Fletch..... you've got that far, so I'm sure you know that you can do it!
Cheers everyone and roll on Tuesday.....:D

wk3 run3 finally done :T
It didn't go as bad as I was expecting, I was pleased. Original plan was to repeat a session but think I feel ready to move onto week 4 :eek:
I did have a slightly embarrassing moment. There was a runner coming the other direction, when he saw me I was running but by the time we passed I had reached a walking segment he said on the way past "the idea is to keep running"I can see the attraction of a treadmill.

Cheeky runner! :rotfl::rotfl:
Thats what I thought! Don't think he meant any harm, he was probably just trying to encourage me as he thought I had given up rather than I was doing what I was suppose to!
How is everyone finding "Laura"? In my last segment of running I was fine, I had zoned out and was shuffling along quite nicely when she came over the headphones announcing that I only had one minute left. of course I then starting thinking about it and that last minute seemed to last forever. If had been left to carry on in my zoned out state I am sure I wouldn't have even noticed the time had passed.
Up until now I had found her quite helpful, but I am being to wonder if its a good thing constant reminders of how long to go, perhaps they are more helpful in later weeks?0 -
I don't like the 'you're halfway there' type reminders. Once you know when they're coming I'm always thinking 'oh God, am I not even halfway through yet?' or whatever :rotfl:
I'd much rather just plod along until she says 'walk' in blissful ignorance
I'm defo going to have to repeat wk 3 sessions at least once or twice once I shift this virusMortgage - £[STRIKE]68,000 may 2014[/STRIKE] 45,680.0
