Hi. I have read the thread but have a question please. We paid for a day ticket and put it on the dashboard. After we left the car park we notice a fine stuck right under the windscreen wiper - we only saw it when using the wipers! The notice says the ticket wasn't clearly displayed but it was! They state they are members…

presumably you still have the parking ticket itself?

Assuming that you have and you are certain it was on the windscreen, I wouldn't worry...even if they have taken photos.

Even if it wasn't on the windscreen, I wouldn't put it past this lot bouncing the car up and done so that it fell off.
