Dash Cam !

I would like to purchase a good quality dash cam and have the lead fitted so it's hidden. Could anybody recommend a good quality cam with a lead that's long enough to run it around the roof lining, down the side and through to a power supply behind the dash board.

I've got one of these, no longer available but look at similar models from the same manufacturer and read the reviews to see what people say about the leads, the one that came with mine is very long.

Is there a problem with extending the lead if necessary? Or if that's too technical, buying a longer one?

Choosing a dashcam on the basis of the lead is really putting the cart before the horse.

I don't want to choose a cam just because it's got a long lead, as my post says I am looking for a good quality cam.

Just read through some of your posts neilmcl, why post with useless comments. Just rude.

I did search first but obviously I would think new models come out all the time so wanted the latest recommendations.

As there seems to be a dashcam thread nearly every other week asking someone to use the search facility is imho fair comment and quite in line with most forum guidelines but feel free to keep monitoring my posting history if that's your thing.

So people will search for dashcam and find your sarcastic comments rather than actual advice?
