    Hello Diary,

    Long time no see.........

Upon receiving a very depressing email telling me that I have been awarded a "9 years on MSE" badge, I thought I ought to come back and make another attempt at getting debt free.

I have no clue why I psychologically can't beat this damn debt.

Have gotten into a bit of another mess over the last 3-4 months.

Had massive plans on hitting the debt with my new part-time wage of £800 per month in the new year, so I didn't pay my minimum payments very well on my numerous credit cards on the run up to Christmas, with the idiotic thoughts that I will be paying them off quickly come early 2017.

Then of course, murphy's law comes into play and hubby's cam belt breaks on his van late December and we are now facing a potential 2k bill to get it back on the road, which of course is going to use possibly my January and February wages, which means that hitting the credit cards with big payments is not going to happen until earliest Feb/March. So now they are all jumping up and down again for payments which I do not have.

    Grrrrrrr WILL I NEVER LEARN!!!!!.

So here I am, yet again, with my tail between my legs. Not sure if any of you guys are still around, I expect you are all debt free by now and booking lovely holidays abroad and enjoying your spare money :(.

So I plan on getting back into posting at least a few days per week now we are past Christmas and all the chaos.

I am still working every day, 20 hours per week. I am tempted on a supermarket night-time job, but not sure if I could stay alert enough to do my day job if I have been working every night.

    Will be back soon.

    Happy New Year all

Steph, I think you've done amazingly well to get where you have, so far.

I feel that we always have something we 'need' to pay for, too. I guess that's just life and it never goes the way we want it too. The main thing is that your debts are going down, not up and you are in a much better place than you were a few years, ago.

Well I'm still here and still have some debt. You know what? Life happens. You will beat this and can. But keep posting here. Could you do a new SOA and start afresh?

    Keep strong, Steph.

Hi Steph, good to see you again, but sorry that you have encountered a few blips.

Big girl's knickers on, make a plan and draw up those 100 square targets again, you can do it, you have to.

Get your credit/debit cards removed from ALL the places where you shop on line for anything other than strong needs, animal/people food etc.

Other folk will be along with support and practical ideas I am sure, but keep posting and dig out those Dave Ramsey? podcasts.

    MM xx
