Hi all
Sorry not managed to post as often as I wanted, Last week was ridiculously busy, but got through it, Ds had a lovely birthday and all's well.
What with birthday presents being bought etc I feel slightly out of control with YNAB again. Think I might restart it at the beginning of October fresh.
I need to get a handle on my budgeting and stop impulse buying, I have slipped back into my old habits = Think it - Get it .
Also got to give some more thoughts as to what I am going to do with my first months wage. I know I planned on putting is aside as an emergency fund, and that probably still is the best idea, but I just worry I will break into it at the slightest hurdle.
I desperately need to get into abit more of a routine now Ds's birthday chaos is out of the way. I need to devote some time to my studies, at least two nights per week I think.
Work is going well, finding my way slowly, but still enjoying it.
Not much else to report, I have caught up with a lot of bills, just a few outstanding now but all under control.
Hope you are all having a good week.

Hi Steph,
Great to have you back. Re the first paycheque, did you ever get your mortgage caught up as planned? I had a feel this was stopping you earning cash back, or something to do with putting it on DD. This was always a real worry for you, so if you haven't done that yet, would that be the thing to do first? Just a thought.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Oooops where did the time time go???
My life appears to be waaay too busy to have chance to post on here every day
I'm still enjoying work, it certainly fills my week, I usually get a few minutes at home before I have to dash off to collect my Dd and then whizz her off to dance clubs or gymnastics. Add on all the other things that crop up in a week I hardly get to sit down till 9pm.
I have formulated a plan for my new earnings though
September's wages kind of came and went. I topped up the bank balance, bought some new work clothes (Hadn't worked for 12 years so my smart clothing selection was and still is pretty small). I also got my hair done
. Maybe I can call October my reward to getting a job
.
October's wages are going towards helping hubby buy some work tools that have broken this year. He is a self employed builder and obviously relies on his tools to do the job's well. He has been struggling with certain tool being broken for a while so I thought
as we are unlikely to find the money from anywhere else, he should use this months money to get himself sorted out.
Novembers wages will fund Christmas. My cleaning wages have been stored up and will cover Dd's birthday present.
So I get paid December's wage on the 31st. Technically virtually the start of 2017. So from that month on until I estimate July/August all my wages will go towards the debt. Then it will be GONE :T:T:T:T:T Finally.
Not much else to report here really, just usual life ticking over. I'm off to check out some of my favourite diaries. Have a great weekend xxx0 -
Glad you are enjoying your new job and great plans for your wages.
It's lovely of you to buy DH a replacement tool that he needs.
Hope you can pop back regularly once life calms down!!0 -
So pleased to hear you are enjoying your new job.
Yes, time is flying by, and knowing you, so will your debt.
Take care and keep plodding on.0 -
Loving the plans.
You are right to buy the tools, they are essential for your DH to do his work so they are an investment really.
I can't wait for 2017, it's going to be our year I can feel it in my bones!
