Evening all,
Thanks for all the lovely comments. Kitten you are right about the emergency fund. I think I did think about putting away my first months income, and hopefully adding the difference from the joint account to make it the Baby Step one. (1k Emergency fund). Probably a good idea as life does have a habit of smacking me in the face when I am least expecting it.
So that's the plan then. Septembers wages are for the emergency fund, then move onto the snowball.
Well we all survived the first day back to work and school. Ds & Dd had fab days at school...Phew!!.
I had a wonderful morning at work, got tonnes to get my head around, but thankfully have a whole day on my own in the office tomorrow as the boss is away. This will give me chance to work through a few processes and get abit more familiar with the computer and filing system.
Everything is looking rosey at the moment :T
It's ds's birthday on the 15th, need to get some idea from him what he wants then will get it ordered. I have abit set aside for this expense so hopefully that is taken care of.
Loving going out to work, it is really making me feel good. I know that sounds daft but I think rattling around at home was slowly driving me bonkers.
Hope you all had as good a Monday as the Stressed household did.
Take care all. xxx0 -

Morning all,
Just a quick check in a doubt I will have time tonight.
This is going to be a super busy day.
0930 - 245pm Work
3pm - 3.30 pm School Meet & Great new teacher
Home for 20 mins then
430 - 7pm Dd Gymnastics (too far from home to leave her and come back)
Then at 8pm I promised a friend I would go to her clothing evening. I think a French clothing company are going to her house to try to sell clothes. I was going to not go, but then I was told hardly anyone is going so feel to bad to not go. Trouble is I won't be buying anything so I won't be much use.
Hubby has agreed to cook dinner, as I literally will not be home all day & night
Then tomorrow I have a morning of cleaning then 2.1/2 hours in the office. PHEW....I am going to need a good lie in on Saturday.
It doesn't help that I seem to have abit of insomnia lately, not sure if it's because of all the changes going on round here or what, but I toss and turn for hours before I go to sleep. I saw 2am on the clock well before I finally drifted off.
Oh well, I had better go, I have to get some more petrol before I get to work.
Hope you all have a great day.
Hopefully will check in tomorrow evening xxx0 -
Wow you do have a buys couple of days ahead.
Oh you might get some cnice style ideas which you can then go & buy high street versions for half the price probably, I'm sure you will still enjoy it even if you aren't buying anything. Your friend will really appreciate you taking the time to go.
Aw nice of hubby making the dinner tonight.
I have been the same with the sleeping, I think it must have something to do with this weather, I am taking ages to nod off then waking up loads in the night. It is so annoying.
Have a good day.

Hi Steph,
I'm so happy you're back! Sorry for the awful year you've had, and congratulations on the new job. It seems it's the start of a better end of year"Nothing is permanent in this wicked world, not even our troubles".0
